Leather goods division

Cutting, gluing, coloring, marking and embossing are the watchwords of the leather goods division.

The Leather Goods Division, a fully-fledged business in women's luxury ready-to-wear!

The Leather Goods division, located at IFS (Calvados), appeared in 2018 in a second building separate from the one housing the Tailoring and Design/Collections divisions.
The expertise of the leather goods staff means they can respond to projects that differ from the Tailleur and Flou poles.
Lately, these different divisions have been responding to projects combining leather and materials such as cashmere or silk.
We call this “mix-cuir”.
Different crafts are practiced in the Leather Goods Division.

The leather goods division trades are :

The plus
Professionals

For each business sector, we have know-how that sets us apart from our competitors. We'd like to highlight the specific features of the Leather Goods Sector.

Trimming

Unlike slitting, which reduces the thickness of the material (leather...) over the entire surface, trimming thickens it at the edges to facilitate assembly work.

Threading

Threading is a leather marking process that can be either cold or hot. Cold marking is most commonly used on thick leathers. Hot marking is done with a filleting iron with a heated blade.

Slitting

This reduces and evens out the thickness of the leather. This can result in finer work and a lighter article.
